MarkBass compressore is a workhorse on stage
Published on 11/12/18 at 01:19For almost 5 years, I used this compressor in countless gigs and made countless recordings with it. By all means, this compressor is the real deal for me. It’s a fully featured, housed in a steel box workhorse that won’t let you down on stage (if you learn how to properly use it) might be a bit pricey in comparison to others, but truly one of the best I’ve used and still using today.

Like a big!

It's all analog with a lamp in the circuit.
One regret: no XLR connectors which would have allowed easier to insert into a string of "direct console" with an Avalon U5 for example ...
Memory was also a big plus because the beast is impressive and change réglmages a compressor on the fly is never easy because the number of parameters.

SOUND QUALITY
The utility of lamps supplied with 9v ... is very controversial whether it is pretty or not my faith I know nothing but the result is there: the sound is excellent!
This is totally transparent and respectful of your instrument with a little extra heat provided by the side lamp - or not - and that made me prefer the MXR bass compressor is one that is most closely connected.
No breath, very clean signal: Friend studios!
This is an ideal choice for those who want the same benefits of a studio compressor (all settings accessible) format pedal.
particularly effective in slap and when you go to pick to control the dynamics and make punch.
very well also use more "fine" during a solo on fretless for example to limit the peaks unpleasant.
OVERALL OPINION
It has become an essential part of my set-up and allows me to manage the sound when conditions are tough and fits perfectly complement other compress more "direct" but with fewer parameters such as BSE.
In conclusion, is used as well as studio control as dynamic or as full effect to "grow" the bass line.
must have!See less80 - Ben WDCK
THE COMPRESSOR

UTILIZATION
Simple connection between the bass and the amp, the manual is very explicit is better to listen ... then the settings take a bit of practice, professional quality a little theory about what and how a compressor is essential! There is no knob to fine! (Gain entry, threshold, ratio, attack time, return time and output volume) all play their roles perfectly!
SOUND QUALITY
Efficiency is in there! sound off heat, the lamp has much to do! and compression that is felt in every setting!

I use a Fender Jaguar Olympic White bass and a Hartke HA 2500 amp ... but I intend to buy a Mark Bass before long!
OVERALL OPINION
I use it for 3 months and repeated small stage when the amps are not wired to a table!
What I like most is the strength! it's not plastic! level unbeatable price / performance, so the choice I would do twice rather than once!
We could only blame him for being a real compressor and is necessarily a bit complicated when one does not know anything ... I have one month to master it, but at least now I know what it means to compression!See less02 - sambassPublished on 06/01/10 at 08:55 (This content has been automatically translated from French)Tube compressor pedal COMPRESSOR

The configuration is more complex than usual because the compressor pedal settings are those of a real compressor rack. A minimum knowledge of the parameters of a compressor and their action is to have. The benefit is obviously to get a compression really nikel.
The manual is very succinct so do not count on it.

Really nothing to fault her level, I love the color of the lamp is very quiet, the sound of the instrument perfectly respected (it's what Markbass)
OVERALL OPINION
I bought it the day it came out and I could not do without.
To me this is the best compressor pedal format market.See less10
