Published on 04/29/04 at 15:00I found a brand new unit that had been puchased and retured within a week ,and still worked, for $700 the sound is fabulous. trust ampeg to make a good 2 channel bass amp.
everything 2 channels one with overdrive has an octave option with compression a gate. It also has a +/- 15 db switch and a tuner mute function i has an opional sterio or mono bridge set up 2 sepparate effects loops (one for each channel) i could go on this is a real pro amp Tom Araya of Slayer uses one of these things.
i was lucky and got a cheap one but brand new ones can be very expensive, and you need at least an 810 to use the thing but i still say the sound you get from it is worth it.
it's an Ampeg it should be obvious. (I've seen these things fall of an 810 during practice and still work fine but I wouldn't risk trying it)
a mostly solid state amp with 1 (12AX7) and when you replace it i would advise using a groove tube tube. if you have the money fo rthis buy it.
