Very simple. He must know his instrument is knowing how to use an EQ (which I also unaffected)

SOUNDS

This amp is amazing for my use. I am against attending and I've never been closer to its naturalness with this Phil Jones. But I use a cell (David Gage).
However, it fonctione very well but its electric strength proves to be a weak point, you run out of grain. The amp is too neutral.
When has the power, it's amazing how much it depends on the environment it is recommended to use put against a wall and I can attest that it changes everything.
The DI is exceptional! A technician even told me that this is the best it's ever been. That the spectrum was restored in its entirety and it was far easier to work on the front.

OVERALL OPINION

For bass it is a "must have"! For electronic bass that does not make sense in my opinion.
For "doubler", a MarkBass will better deal. It will be good enough acoustics to "do the work" and in much better supply. I have a Ampeg BA115 HD electric. Best quality / price ratio on the market in my opinion.
The Phil Jones is a pleasure that I got, but think your use is because it is not given.

I put 9/10 only because that combo is not equipped with an external speaker output, if you want to have a baffle in addition it will provide you with the PB300, which is an active speaker 250 Watts which is connected to the super flightcase via the Line Out.

UTILIZATION

Before you begin, it should be noted that the PJB amps amps are very neutral in its HI-FI. They do not give character to your sound as can Ampeg amps, ashdown etc. ... They "only" amplify your sound, as the most transparent and pure either.
In this context of its HI-FI, the positioning of the amplifier will affect the bass and sub-bass. It is recommended to leave the ground, and ideally glued to a wall. Where applicable, the 5-band equalizer will correct the shooting. Indeed, the EQ of this combo is designed to correct the sound to the room where you are than to correct the sound of your bass. This is based on the principle that your bass sound you want, and it takes just amplify the purest way possible.
Setup is simple, everything works perfectly, and in silence.
The knobs are a delight to handle and gives an impression of upscale indisputable.
The manual is clear and unambiguous, and pushes up the vice to explain the diffusion of the bass sound in space worthy of an acoustician.

SOUNDS

This combo needs to suit all styles, as neutral.
The only limit is possibly the power if you play in a band that really sent the wood ...
In terms of sounds you can get, it's simple, it is the sound of your bass, amplified so that is the purest. The sound is balanced on all frequencies, right, articulated to perfection, very punchy.
This one has the HP PJB Neo-Power 5 inches with a miraculous return to the HP of this size. The fact of the number in use (never below 2, and here there are 6, 24 and up for the biggest cabinet of the brand) can be rendered in grave equivalent to any size HP, including roughly 15 inches! Their small size provides a high reactivity with the speed at which moves the membrane. We distinguish ALL the nuances of the game, the notes are very defined, and the silences between notes too. So you must play as cleanly as possible because everything is amplified, without exceptions.
I play it with a TM5 and Sandberg SI sounds perfectly serious, I've never heard elsewhere as well ...
I do not think you can hate the sound of this amp, unless you do not like the pure sound of his bass or sounds too clean.
We can also note that the record is very good at low volume, unlike other amp that need your volume to be on top. it can play cushy home with a superb sound.

OVERALL OPINION

I use this model for several days, and I have already tested requisitioned at a group of 5 people (guitar, vocals, violin, drums, bass). My drummer pat rather strong and I've had no worries for me to hear.
The advantage of 2 HP on top, is that means, wherever you are placed in the room.
I had a few years ago the flight case BG150, which I sold because it lacked power (150watts). So I knew what to expect in terms of its purchasing the Super Flightcase.
I played on the Ampeg, Ashdown and Markbass's, but I must confess that I am fully satisfied with my sound on the Phil Jones.
I use a SansAmp my sound to work upstream.
The price / quality ratio is good enough because this amp is almost € 1300 new. it makes trèèèèèès expensive for a 250 watt amp.
But that's the price to pay for THE perfect sound in all circumstances, and it was worth the price used here.
I plan, when finances will follow, to invest in the active speaker to go with, which will bring me 250 watts and 6 HP and more, bringing the total to 12 (!).
