Value For Money :
Excellent
Features of the beast (in part derived from the SWR site):
- 400W @ 8ohms
- 4 HP 10 "custom SWR ®
- Event designed specifically for optimum response at low frequencies
- Piezo tweeter w / attenuator
- 2 Speakon ® and 1 input and 1 output jack 6.35mm
- Coating "Chrome-powder ®" stamped, steel grate front shock
- Handles spring side, and removable casters (4x10) for easy transport
The wheels (removable as well) are a real plus, because 40kg is not necessarily easy to handle. My back thanked the 4 wheels!
SOUNDS
I have a head Orange Terror Bass (500W) and an active bass Ibanez SR-505 (5 string) plugged it and it sounds great, the sound is not a draft. The tweeter setting is great, I personal rule-6dB and it suits me perfectly. FYI, I hesitated between this and the cab Ampeg B410 HLF (4 ohms), but ultimately it's the SWR that I chose, including its impedance (8 ohms) and its rich connectivity ... especially the Terror Bass plugs do with the Speakon.
OVERALL OPINION
I use it for some months now and I'm delighted, I would do it without hesitating one second choice! After trying the GK and Ampeg, SWR stands completely apart from its value for money. Posted € 650 I got it for 600 €, hard to beat at this price for a 4x10 bass.
