The technical features that motivated my choice:
- Cash incredible powers
- Sounds good, even at very low volume
- Very lightweight (25 kg, can be worn alone as a major)
- Very high bandwidth (to avoid lugging a 15 "and more)
- German manufacture and design (say what you want, it's still not the same ...)
The use I make:
- Repeat, not box-at-all to "I cover the drummer" ...
I run the amp with a speaker sound RMX 1450 bridged mono can also stack more than 1200 Watts ... In short it is not the power is missing!
I work on his bass with a BBE preamp transistor.

Before I played on a speaker Aguilar 2x12 "speakers with ferrite magnet. Caustaud was already very well screwed, but I must say that the Tec-Amp with speakers Neodym is .. . better! Yes, it's better than the Aguilar!
In fact, the Tec-Amp sounds very neutral and still generates a lot of bass and infrabass for a 4x10 ". The thing is absolutely amazing is the ability to return the power sent from the amp. Ca never do run out of steam ! At worst, the sound will "pump" a few very high volume (when the ceiling threatened to collapse, the drummer is the mime marceau with tambourines and the Marchaux (Marschall plural) of scratch unleashed their last mucus ...). Basically, the sound quality begins to deteriorate when we send a little more I would say 1000 Watts ...
To round it off, the cabinet and equipped with an excellent adjustable tweeter wishes (very dull to very bright). To make it sound really aggressive, push the treble preamp thoroughly, otherwise it stays clear, defined and lens.
In fact, this speaker Tec-Amp is perhaps the ne plus ultra of what is happening right now.
If you find a cabinet with its type (such Ampeg 4x10 "), go your way. The 4x10" Tec-Amp sounds neutral. The character of your sound will come from the rather low and the preamp. For me it's the ideal, the cabinet of all trades. As I played with several groups, just change the bass and the preamp and presto! I end up with a sound completely different.
For its versatility, robustness of the speakers and the exceptional quality of the tweeter, I put 10/10.
OVERALL OPINION
I use it for 6 months. RAS. Foot! I do not regret to separate myself from my Aguilar 2x12 ".
What I like most is undoubtedly the lightweight of the craft, impeccable build quality made-in-Germany, the extraordinary resistance of the speakers, the beautiful sound of the tweeter and neutrality overall sound.
Price / quality ratio very honest with the views of what the competition offers. Ca is a good investment, but then you're cushy!
With experience, I do it again this choice without hesitation. The neodymium magnets are incomparably higher than ferrite magnets. In any case in Tec-Amp ...

gonna be a year and a half I play it, but happiness. It's a monster. Since my first review, I changed my amp head, I now play with an old Sovtek 100 watt all-tube that spun me a friend. The baffle Tec Amp is so efficient that a 100 W lamp enough to already be 10 times too strong again. Incredible but true!
