How long have you use it?

I use these mics for five months


Have you tried many other models before buying it?

some ... ducan the design on squier modified: no potato bad sound
n3 test store on a deluxe usa: good sound, but without characters
and active EMG pickups sound good but a little loud for my taste ...

What is the particular feature you like best and least?

there is nothing to throw in these microphones in electronic or otherwise, it is very well done, for my part I turn my mass bridge that parasitized microphones, a very slight buzz amp background but nothing serious for passive! and then take the silent ...

if the issue is specific round velvety it's body in the grave defined treble and with this system we pass from jb41 to JB42 a favorite knob! this is America after all!.

mounting issue for me it took enlarge my smashes towards placing electronics jbmorph in place.

How would you rate the quality / price?
With experience, you do again this choice? ...

Of course I remake this choice after purchasing a fifteen low to find "THE SOUND" when you fall on these pickups is a bargain you become addicted!

value for money is unbeatable and the service is top.

Ordered early November, I must say that everything was perfect:

Contact telephone super nice, fast shipping, parcel nickel.
Unpacking the kit came to me well finished, quality components, it smells good work!

Removing my JB (tools screwdriver) and setting up microphones and pre-assembled plate. No welding to do not need instructions, a terminal with locating microphones son is very practical.
Everything is perfectly in place at the microphones.

One little tricky, the whole plate pots lacks a little place (the reservation in the wood of the JB at that point is just a little) you have to push a little son on the sides to be built this little world .
With a little patience and skill you get there and once the plate is screwed up strings and guitar tuned, plug the amp and then feverishly ... !!
Since the 70s, I have experienced low ... and amps!

But, in my taste that is only my opinion, I find her a rare quality, incredible accuracy.
Dynamic purity (it is always easy to "dirty" sound necessary), no background noise, very wide palette of sounds feasible saw my bass!

When such work is done in France, it is good to say especially when it exceeds the world's leading manufacturers!

I do not under ... if it is not the price, but such a pleasure to play with such a sound is there a price!

I remake that choice without hesitation, I will also order Crel JB42 microphones for my second bass, fretless JB Mexican.

What is so special that you like most and least?

Most **: it changes the bof (jazz bass pickups original us) to all, I have never heard of microphones hold a note as long (the night of the test, it was bent with darling because it expected, and we expected the sound of the note did not finish).
The sonic possibilities are extremely varied due to the multiple choice positions knobs pull / push, there is something for everyone, the settings are accurate and sensitive.
Really is not false advertising, you can rush headlong and do not take you hours on cabbage: good then, barto, thing thing, ....

I received and installed the microphones we last.
The test will be this weekend amp, headphone via my soundcard Presonus is already really good ...

My return to the installation on a 2009 JB us (my personal opinion, I specify):

* Attention, installation is not as easy as that, it takes a bit of detail even though I find the concept very clever
* Jack when inserted touches the edge of the printed circuit board (regardless of the rotation we give, however, everything is properly aligned in the vertical axis)
* Must put volume knobs staggered but the best possible alignment if it does not pass on the edges of the housing
* Diameter rods knobs are smaller than the original so the buttons swim and it is not possible to tighten properly (I got those from my Mexican fluted and there is good)
* Height is not adjustable knobs no or very few due to limited space remaining at the bottom (I used nuts from my old system as a "shim" but there is not much to gain )
* Suddenly we find ourselves with buttons placed super high and it is very very ugly
* The microphone cables are very close to the edge once connected to the terminal, which requires to be very careful under penalty of destruction ...
* We must study the passage of soft cables so they do not go to stay in the knobs (I made a small strand using a rilzan)
* I'm spent 2 hours and I do not do pictures :-(


How do you rate the quality / price? => Just fine.
With experience, you do again this choice? ... => Yes without hesitation on the other hand, we'd like more information and clarity on the website for Crel difficulties during installation (or at least a warning)
The installation goes without a JB smashes but in this particular case should not lose patience and try to work carefully.

I have a Guinea arrowroot Custom77 b-type jazz bass in stock and I asked him a small system jbmorph right in.

then the assembly recommends a dremel to make room in the cage of custom, nothing nasty and a screwdriver for easy connections microphones

So after 5 minutes you plug in the amp, put it straight on and go!

Direct the sound I like in position 41; the tona to 0 is big sound without the high notes but played the thumb on the handle round and it's great even at position 42
I personally played with the tone slightly raised on my bass and the two microphones at position 42 in volume and at noon it sounds very very round and slap their fingers along a treat harmonic and precision
this will be a while since I played with this system and frankly

in value for money this is the bomb
ps this is the second time I am appealing to CRELL to equip a bass pickups and before I had one that sounded the devil warwick 5 string active in a PB51 and jb51
I put the perfect note of is on my personal feeling, but definitely CRELL corresponds to my fingers and my game
