How long do you use?

I use it for 3 months, on a 5 string Jazz Bass, with a John East U Retro preamp. They passed by on about all styles of music.

Have you tried many other models before buying it?

I tried a different range of microphones Tom Marceau (the classics), which correspond at least in my game and my desires, more growl, but I wanted something more specific, coupled to the bass amp (mounted and also by Tom councils).
I had the opportunity to test the Lindy Fralin, the kind of microphones that my taste is close to perfection bass sounds, and after that he told me TOM command, m ' advised to try the jazz set Bass V.

What thing do you like most and least?

This is not least that say "your bass is super precise mixing, it blends into the mix but is still great presents a real joy." The sound engineer with whom I work no longer wants me to take my other bass (jazz Bass US, jaguar, Precision, Jazz Bass Marcus Miller).
The microphones set is ultra-precise, full mids and bass perfectly round, delicious.
Unlike the other set of tom (there are several sets at Marceau, the classics (tested) and vintage (adopted !!)), there is a little less than growl, it's a little less fat, it drooling a little less.


How do you rate the quality / price?
Excellent, because for me it was the custom for the price of a great brand microphones, you have the manufacturer's advice and a luthier at the same time.

I hesitated, and looking back I would not have all this hesitation, Tom did a great job with professional quality products and with a prime and a lot of patience.
