I have this drive for over a year, I had compared with other players in the same price range (about 450 €). The fine finish of the product and the definition of the sound it offers pushed me to buy it. I have since done much better tweak 'pre amp a very old Technics used with a home installation lamp. No photo, next to that pile of son, the sound of cambridge is flat and featureless and will soon disappear from my shelf. I do not understand how you can put as many ways to ensure a good and silent reading the CD (in the case of the player) and botch the preamp if important component in the sound chain.
