Ten years. B8 Performance Set with 14 "HH, 16" crash and 22 Rock "Ride with hard case. I will not talk about the splash 8" available ... I completed after six months with a thin crash 18 ", still in the B8 series.
Have you tried many other models before buying it?
This is what prompted me to buy it. Model unbranded drumkit beginner who turned corrugated upon first use.
What is the particular feature you like best and least?
Nothing.
What I like most:
- The quality / price ratio.
- Sound quality for an entry-level, which I think is very very good.
- Versatility.

Very good to excellent.
With experience, you do again this choice? ...
Nope. I buy a higher level range, but I highly recommend it to all who want to get to the drumkit.See less00 - MGR/Anonymous

they are good for a first set better then some solars or something they good for the price you pay and with a extra crash and a china and some splash you would have a good little set
they are the entry level for the good level

Solid budget cymbal pack!
Published on 11/30/11 at 14:02I purchased my Sabian B8 Performance pack when I needed to replace my XS20's. When I bought them they came with a free 18" Thin Crash and a 10" splash. The hi hats were really chunky when I got them and I really wasn't a fan, so I took the 14" crash and used it in place of the hi hat top. Really sweet chick sound and a much better open sound. The 18" crash is really rich for the money. I was happy with it. The splash is pretty nice, I took splashes off my kit all together though so I don't have too much of an opinion on that. When I did use it though it cut pretty good. The ride was okay, but it had that overly bright clunky sound, so I wasn't a fan. When I did use it though it cut pretty good. The ride was okay, but it had that overly bright clunky sound, so I wasn't a fan. Luckily my XS20 ride was still in good shape. The 16" Crash is actually pretty nice as well. For as cheap as they are, they sound pretty good in a mix. On their own they sound pretty discouraging, but once you are playing with other people they sound pretty freakin' good. I still use them for now.
I was looking at other cheap cymbal packs by Zildjian, Meinl and Paiste and I found the deal with the free 18" crash and 10" splash too nice to pass up. I played the Zildjian ZBTs and I found I only really cared for the hi hats. So they solidified my decision a little bit. I would definitely recommend the cymbals to someone looking for a good cheap set. Especially if they have the splash and other crash tossed in for free. They have lasted a pretty long time, so I'd have to say that the build quality is nice. I use them very regularly and I have only made a small crack on the 16" crash. Zero complaints. Good cymbal pack for sure.See less00 - lkmiPublished on 03/22/07 at 13:06 (This content has been automatically translated from French)I went to the bag and after testing the complete set (ie, HH 14 "Crash 16" Splash 10 ", Ride 20" Mini China and even 14 "and the board of one of the sellers my choice in this price range is focuses on the Sabian B8 who already have a good sound and meileur mm if I would go to the B8 Pro.
I think test Sabian B8:
HH 14 ": very versatile, his clear and precise (HH default test to Bag)
Splash 10 ": This is not what I prefer, I prefer to limit my Stagg SH ms ds good it is offered the pack, I advise to switch to B8 Pro Splash
Ride 20 ": It's going it does its job, I liked the sound in another dome

Crash 14 "too acute for me but in addition to the 16" no pq
Mini China 14 "I feel like a china for the next alien, the mini china takes its role, a cymbal to keep to specific times in his game, it does not go everywhere in the 14 +" as I find the crash too much in the treble.
China 18 "(B8 Pro) if I could I would take the place of the mini in china 14" because the sound suits me more because in the low +.
Sabian B8 pack has noted:
HH Crash Ride + + + Splash + € 230 to cover the bag
Mini china 14 "B8> € 60 and China B8 Pro 18" € 100
I give 8 as have good cymbals, but it's Sabian ca rest of the entry
- How long have you use it? I just did the test in the bag in anticipation of a planned purchase in June
- What is so special that you like best> price, brand, sound
the least> not much for a beginner or a first set are very good cymbals
- Have you tried many other models before buying it? yes I've played on entry level kits drumkit mates or place where I played on the sets of schools where I went (Paiste 101, 201, and PST3 PST5, Sabian Xs20, Stagg SH and DH, Meinl, Ufip, zildjian ... lol I played almost everything and here I speak only entries range seen qeu is the theme)
- How would you rate the quality / price? cool especially with the promotion (€ 230 for 4 cymbals, we just add a 2nd crash or china at leisure or both)
- With experience, you do again this choice? I think so and take the kit with Sabian B8 commplet, that's enough for nowSee less00
