I went to the bag and after testing the complete set (ie, HH 14 "Crash 16" Splash 10 ", Ride 20" Mini China and even 14 "and the board of one of the sellers my choice in this price range is focuses on the Sabian B8 who already have a good sound and meileur mm if I would go to the B8 Pro.
I think test Sabian B8:
HH 14 ": very versatile, his clear and precise (HH default test to Bag)
Splash 10 ": This is not what I prefer, I prefer to limit my Stagg SH ms ds good it is offered the pack, I advise to switch to B8 Pro Splash
Ride 20 ": It's going it does its job, I liked the sound in another dome
Crash 16 "I prefer the 14", fuller, c + logik serious given the size
Crash 14 "too acute for me but in addition to the 16" no pq
Mini China 14 "I feel like a china for the next alien, the mini china takes its role, a cymbal to keep to specific times in his game, it does not go everywhere in the 14 +" as I find the crash too much in the treble.
China 18 "(B8 Pro) if I could I would take the place of the mini in china 14" because the sound suits me more because in the low +.
Sabian B8 pack has noted:
HH Crash Ride + + + Splash + € 230 to cover the bag
Mini china 14 "B8> € 60 and China B8 Pro 18" € 100
I give 8 as have good cymbals, but it's Sabian ca rest of the entry
- How long have you use it? I just did the test in the bag in anticipation of a planned purchase in June
- What is so special that you like best> price, brand, sound
the least> not much for a beginner or a first set are very good cymbals
- Have you tried many other models before buying it? yes I've played on entry level kits drumkit mates or place where I played on the sets of schools where I went (Paiste 101, 201, and PST3 PST5, Sabian Xs20, Stagg SH and DH, Meinl, Ufip, zildjian ... lol I played almost everything and here I speak only entries range seen qeu is the theme)
- How would you rate the quality / price? cool especially with the promotion (€ 230 for 4 cymbals, we just add a 2nd crash or china at leisure or both)
- With experience, you do again this choice? I think so and take the kit with Sabian B8 commplet, that's enough for now
