Hello everyone,
This is 2weeks I reu my command performance XS20 cymbals Thomann and reu in 4 days !!!
Report qualitprix unbeatable, the set includes 20 1ride "1crash16" 1hi-hats14 "and gift if order 1splash10 Germany."
These cymbals his irreproachable, though I expected to have more finesse for the hi-hat.
I t very surprised at the sound of the splash very musical (normal plus there is a foundation of the more musicality) compar has my old who was a Sabian PRO10 "normally slightly Superior.
concerning the sonority it very difficult for me to have you dcrire but all I say is that some sounds dmo the Sabian vraiments site are very faithful to the r alit.
Purchase a remake without siter. (And I have to try a lot of cymbals !!!!!)

As for the ride, play the bell is nice and the crash no objection to its many (all cymbals with of course the famous B20 alloy SABIAN series, such as AAX, Hand Hammered, or more recently VAULT!

How would you rate the quality / price?

Quality / price ratio excellent compared to PRO and PRO SONIX which are more expensive and are not alloy B20, when compared to ZILDJIAN ZXT they are much better positioned because of their sounds.
Especially having bought these cymbals in Germany, I got them to 339 euro and a splash XS20 10 "available (value at all in France: about 550 euros => it says they are not expensive for cymbals almost professional.

With experience, you do again this choice? ...

As for the ride, play the bell is trs enjoyable and the crash no fault of its many qualities (though with all these cymbals sr alloy B20 of the famous sries SABIAN such as AAX, Hand Hammered, or more rcemment the VAULT!

- What is the particular feature you like best and least?
Plus: it all sounds good trs are clean and well back at power, charley is pretty cool it tends to have a rock style, the crash ragissent out its looks pretty solid and they are fine absorbs the blow by their FLEXIBILITY.

The least I could not find anything negative

- Have you tried many other models before acqurir?

Exellent, I bought the pack 359euro including hit 14 hats, 16 crash, crash ride 20 + 18 and a storage bag permmetant cymbals up to 22 inches.

Yes unless beaudoup money on it in what I taperrai of mieu but for the price they are worth every penny and you can go far with beginners confirm

It's been a month since I use it, the kit is doing quite well.

What I like least is the lack of precision of the ride. The ataque (I play with extrem 5A) is too wrapped up in the sustain. Gnant for Chabada ... The bell rings (my taste) not too bad.
What I like most is the sound which dgagent when the Fraps is fat. Honestly, do not trust their pace Finnie and fragile as they sing compltement with a rock by Frape well pchu.Cymbale exelence I recomand anyway for the balance of the whole does not make a kit with drums too discreet because the girls had made it faster to cover a missing snapping snare.

What I try:

I play before on Zildjian ZXT titanium (a collgue, I very much love ^ ^) and ZHT (another collgue, I secretly dream of him biting the cardboard symbles m ' in use for cooking wook! of aillor zildjian should put the teflon to avoid hanging food) still with Zildjian. The chance to push me Sabian, and then voila! telling

Value for money?:

I am a big cheapskate: Correct

Repeat the same choice? Assurment!

The Xs20 is a really good entry level/intermediate cymbal pack.  Make no mistake, they are for beginners, but are waaaay better than most of the entry level cymbals for only a slight price increase.  Like most situations, it is probably better to dish out the extra cash rather than settle for less and regret it.  The Zildjian Zht's are comparable to the Xs20's, but don't come close to comparing in value.  The Zildjian pack is a lot brighter and more coated sounding (ok for certain types of music that require cutting), but the Sabians tend to be a lot more versatile.  These are even acceptable to gig with, and I often find professional drummers using these when they don't want to lug around their expensive stuff. 

The hihats are great for this level.  They have good chick, wash, and stick definition.  They are not particularly subtle or mellow, but no cymbals are for this price.  They aren't overly bright, which is a relief.  The crashes are excellent, probably the best part of the pack.  They gave a good balance, strong attack, and smooth decay.  The ride is ok, probably the least versatile cymbal here because it sounds pretty raw.  The bell sounds great however, and it crashes pretty well. 

Like I said earlier, while the Zildjian Zbt's and Sabian B8's are a toss up, the Xs20's beat the Zht's.  They use the same alloy that many more expensive Sabians use, and this is audible right away.  Forget about b8's or b8 pros, these are where you should look for a cymbal pack if looking for value and quality.  Sabian makes great high end cymbals in genreal, but these xs20's prove that they don't forget about the lower end options either.  I am picky about cymbals, and enjoy playing xs20's very much.

The Sabian XS20 cymbals are what I played on when I auditioned for my band, and these cymbals have a horrible tone. I played with the band and cymbals for about 2 weeks, and eventually brought my Zildjian’s out. I was using the XS20s with a Pearl Export drum set with a Tama Iron Cobra, 12”,13” and 16” toms, 14” snare and 20” kick. The set was alright, but these cymbals I could not take.

They would hold an extremely high pitched ring after initial hit, and the cymbals I was using, the 16” Crash, 20” Ride, 14” Hats and an added 18” Crash all had an overall horrible tone. The band was amazed at how much better my Zildjians sounded in comparison to these. I use A Customs, K Customs and Z Customs and they are beautiful cymbals. These on the other hand are flat out horrible. These are the cymbals you are on an extreme budget, but then end up taking them back a week later. The 16” Crash rings too much and the tone is horrible, even when aged, the Ride is the only decent part of this pack, and is very pingy, and the hats are tonally horrible, and mess up nearly everything. The additional crash on the set I auditioned on still had the problem with the ringing overtones, but sounded a lot better than it’s 16” counterpart.

For the price, these are still horrible and sound way too tinny. You can get a big set up for decently cheap, but what you save in money you lose in tone. I would spend the extra money to get cymbals you can brag about, like A Customs and Z Customs; or if you are a Sabian guy, the AAX or HH cymbals. Don’t make the mistake I did and even think about playing on these. Save yourself the time and money and purchase something halfway decent.
