OVERALL OPINION

I use it since 2007, my first external sound card, it is more stable in reviews that Maya44 ... But now the cards are cheaper and more stable.

The latency is not super great, for the scratch is almost impossible, it is better to turn to the Serato ...

I do not have that choice, I would have bundled with Serato or other sound card dedicated to the Time Code

This external audio interface, trs compact if it is intended to particulirement DJs, will also provide quality solutions for other uses. All teams wishing to audiophiles their laptop or desktop computer to a system that purchase high-end audio will guide their choice on a MODEL that provides quality tural conversion AD / DA. The high quality converters that interface, is arguably one of its strengths.

Retailer manual clearly the possibilities of connections and use.
No particulire difficulty during the installation and handling.

In one configuration "audiophile" We have not had to worry about the stability of the pilots and found no phnomne latency.

OVERALL OPINION

Good points: The quality of the connections - both slecteurs three positions (phono, line, microphone) - The compactness - Robustness (case in mtal).
The weak point: No XLR.

Used for digital DJing (Virtual DJ) with laptop (Turion 64 1.8Ghz, 1GB RAM).

The general configuration is very simple.
The manual provides just about everything, and it is clear enough.

Ahhhhhh, here we go ... ESI drivers ... I would simply say it is shameful to sell a card with drivers such as non-functional ...
First, the drivers on the CD (1.14) works very well with the latest models manufactured (including mine): ASIO is not supported.
We must then try to download the version 1.16 ... Always rotten, no way to make the card compatible with Virtual DJ, Fruity Loops and under the ASIO is very poorly managed, ca crackling whatever settings (latency etc ...). We turned to the forums, there is a version 1.18 more or less official, and there it would work almost ... or not (with Virtual DJ), more way to open the control panel of ASIO.
The solution? Generic ASIO4ALL drivers and everything works fine (with me) ...

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for about 1 month. (15 days to solve the problem of drivers)
What I like most: the characteristics, appearance, robust and aesthetically pleasing.
What I like least: ESI programmers who are not f. .... to lay compatible drivers.
Excellent quality / price ratio, as long as said above to buy it in Germany for example (95 Euros Thomann currently over 200 in France)
This choice I would do without hesitation, this card offers plenty of possibilities (including the one to get to crank the audio configuration of your PC with all the drivers you can think of to make it work)

UTILIZATION

UPDATE 2010: "I use it for almost 3 years now, still nothing wrong, she ate in flightcase trips, parties, alcohol, in short I do not spare and takes ...
The new drivers (.39 I think) allows me to go down to 6ms gently on DjDecks. (Tested at 3ms, no significant change while I am at 6)
I tested it on my new laptop (Asus M51VA) and it works just as well with XP 64bit and Seven.

For the rest, my plates are still the same, I passed by RMP2 to test the timecode cd, it works fine too (although the plates are to escape ...) I now have all this coupled with a DJM 3000

In short, a purchase that I do not regret, I maintain that those who complain about new versions of the card (I do not speak of the first or "XL" without preamp) do not understand that stuff should be on a professional pro partition without internet / msn / kikoolol and consors, serenity in the evening it still has a price, and it's not 15GB partition to mix in a good old stable XP are annoying now

EDIT: the new .28 drivers are super good 3ms latency in DjDecks 6ms with good config with mine in 128 samples! the large heavy ... I will test in traktor later

No! the ones I use are from 2005 ... hope this will change with the arrival of the esi U46MK2
