I have a Sennheiser HD 205 since December 25, 2012.
This act makes my Christmas gift and I do not know the exact price (the price informed and based on approximations indicated by a relative of the buyer who probably deliberately over-estimated price)

Prior to the acquisition of these headphones, I mainly tried headsets Logitech from Philips and the second having me extremely disappointed with the fragility of its products of this type.

Most?

* Powerful Sound

with the budget I had so now I will go on a Sennheiser HD-25

These phones have a very low threshold and give you a big bass bump at about 70-120hz and you don't want any of that when you are buying a set. I think that headphone mixes are important. Isolation was not that bad when cutting drums and that is unusual for a set of cans like this.

The sound is more enhanced than professional flat headphones. I have pair and we use them in our C room www.chrislieckstudio.com but not in our A room or B room. Use other more professional phones if you have the money. Buy AKG 240's. As anyone can see I say that if you shop around and read the articles by most veteran producers or engineers you will find that most pros like to use a specific set of cans that can take a great deal of input and these can't. Most headphones break up at around 30hz if you are to pump that frequency into the phones at a decent level ala a heavy hitting kick drum. I think that you will find that for vocals these will suffice. We use them all the time in our C studio and we don't have many complaints about them but we don't have anyone raving about them as well. Most of the time I like to have headphones that are all the same but unfortunately clients are hard on headphones so you don't want a pair that cost $200. I like the HD line although that word is quite deceiving. I think if you want to save a bit of money and your hard on your headphones and you are not real picky about a flat pair, or you mix a lot on your phones get a pair of K240's.

I use this headset for almost 4 years to mix my tracks, create sounds and music of all kinds. Quite frankly, there's more (there's always better if you put the price ... I think of Bose headphones or AKG for example ...) but at that price (€ 35 today, I had paid 70) it is really fun! I make electro and I must say that my mixes are far from déguelasses with, and the bass is really not bad (it must be said that the bandwidth is wide 14Hz-21000Hz) and I rediscovered some music with this headset even in old pieces (type Dire Straits!)!

Again, there are better but when I see some negative comments about it, I do not understand ...

Basses are colored just right, and treble well rendered even though it lacks a little sharpness to some, and for the midrange can be a little weak but without consequences for the work I do.

I use it in pseudo headphone monitoring (because it is not a monitoring headphones far from it), on a Walkman and listen to a multimedia PC.
If I had to make that choice, I will take the same, but if I have much more clearly I will budget for a higher range.

However, the current use does not give me want to change because I am fully satisfied for almost 4 years ... maybe I just want to purchase a monitoring headphones worthy of the name, but if n east to the computer music, why change when you are satisfied! I recommend it for me for people with low budget and looking for a "good headphone".

I bought this headphone two weeks ago for several applications: listening, and monitoring including DJ. In reading the reviews, I was surprised that they were so mixed.

For my part, for 50 € (you can find it cheaper on the internet) I think it's a good headphone. The overall sound is clear and the answer still quite linear (slight bump to 1500Hz there ...), short listening is pleasant. The bass are not amplified in an exaggerated way (this is the case with many headphones, which can "fool" the ears in some cases, completely crush the spectrum in others). In short, its level for 50 €, that's fine.

Then for comfort, yes, it is a little early. on the other hand, after a few days, the headphone was "relaxed" and it is much less: it is so good. The pads are harder than on other headphones, but we do not feel like a marshmallow on the ears ... especially it is very light.

I listened to a lot of other models in this range and in a range somewhat higher (up to 150 €): frankly, the HD 205 does not have to turn pale at slightly more expensive models.

In short, what I love most: weight, qualié overall sound, the adapter 3.5 -> 6.35 screw.
What I like least: the cable length (this is totally subjective, I prefer to 1.5m), the lack of "space" sound that it is better to have to listen to the daily (and again, it depends on the music, sometimes it's really amazing!)

For 50 €, I repeat, that's fine, and at that price I remake that choice without hesitation.

For a larger budget, it's a different story of course!
