The Martin & Co. D-50 Deluxe dreadnought acoustic guitar was made in the USA and has no setting controls because it is not an acoustic/electric guitar. I'm not sure what the neck of this guitar is made out of, but it is very easy to play and has a great overall feel to it.

UTILIZATION

The Martin D-50 is very easy to play all across the neck, including high up on the top notes. The shape and look is the classic dreadnought style that Martin has become so famous for, and is pretty light in terms of weight. It is extremely easy to get a good sound from this guitar, as the inherent tone is rich and vibrant sounding.

SOUNDS

The Martin D-50 acoustic guitar is great for all types of music, but I use it mostly for folk, rock, and pop music. I have used it both for recording and for live shows, but have primarily used it in the recording studio. The tone of this guitar is very bright, with a full bodied tone that definitely has the classic Martin sound to it. Martin has a great reputation for making beautiful sounding guitars, and the D-50 is no exception to this at all. I have come to completely trust Martin when it comes to tone, and the D-50 is a prime example of what they are capable of doing.

OVERALL OPINION

I've been using the Martin D-50 for about a year and it is a truly awesome acoustic guitar. It not only sounds great, but has a great feel and is very easy to play. The price of the D-50 isn't cheap, but it is reasonable considering the top quality guitar that you are getting. I can't say enough about great this guitar is and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in getting a high end acoustic guitar.
