Made in the Netherlands in the 70s or early 80s, and CO Martin had bought a plant to manufacture less expensive guitars on the European market. This model was sold between 2000.00 and 2500.00 en fr (304-380 €). This is exactly the D18 except that the head is different and there are marked "Alpha" above. The label is CF Martin inside.
UTILIZATION
Martin handle so nice and not hard. This is the typical dreadnought sound with good projection. Good string action.
SOUNDS
Very good for blues, country, folk and rock. Sounds well balanced, rich and beautiful: Martin!
OVERALL OPINION
I bought this guitar secondhand 1991 400.00 GB (61,00 €) to my drummer then made me a great price! She was already in a sorry state, but sounded good. A guitar of this model can be negotiated to € 1500.00 if it is in excellent condition. In contrast, in poor condition, like mine, you can count from 150.00 € to 200.00 €. Anyway I do not sell!
