I use it for more than three months and I think what is very convenient in terms of the bass drum: in the beginning, no mods it's a jazz rather, not playing this style of music, I packed the bass drum with his traverssin and immediately became more modern, more interesting. The original skins toms tend not terrible, they were soon changed for Remo USA, the sound has changed altogether. The snare is not bad at all for a base against. I added a charleyston orion and a deep symballe pro.
I have not tried other models but have relied on advice from the seller (honest).
Good value for money but with some modifications mentioned above will improve things further. Far better to pay 550 euros this drumkit that has 400 entries gammme that's much worse.
I would do most likely that choice even with experience. This product is considered good by one of my pro conaissance who has experience.
