The move is designed to attract players that are in the market for a second drum set and do not want to purchase additional hardware, according to Mapex.
Three of Mapex’s five-piece configurations, the Standard, Fusionease and the SRO are now available in both Maple and Birch in each series’ five most popular lacquer finishes. All shell packs include a TH676 Tom Holder.
Pricing & Availability
Meridian Maple five-piece shell packs carry an MSRP of $1,079.99 while the MSRP for five-piece Meridian Birch shell packs is set at $899.99. Mapex Meridian Series shell packs are available from authorized Mapex Retailers.
Mapex introduced the Meridian Maple and Meridian Birch Series in January 2009. All Meridian drum sets feature newly designed appointments, including lugs, mounts, badges and bass drum claws, according to Mapex.
