Mapex has released a collectable edition of its Orion Series - a limited edition component pack that features a mapa burl exterior veneer, finished in a clear gloss lacquer.
The six-piece component pack includes a 22×18 bass drum, 10×8 and 12×9 tom toms, 14×14 and 16×16 floor toms, and a 14×5.5 matching snare drum. Mapex Hardware is sold separately.
Mapex’s Orion Series drums are made using seven-ply North American maple shells. Orion drums also feature the Mapex-exclusive Isolated Tom Mount System (ITS) which allows the shells to vibrate more freely for maximum projection and resonance, according to the company.
