« Basic scanner with limited opportunity and unreliable »
Published on 08/05/13 at 07:24This scanner was one of my first scan
this is a basic non DMX scanner, equipped with a 24V 250W lamp (hence good power for a scan input range) derived from the old scanner "Technobeam" of Collyns (former product which is made a long time).
I found it "nice" but this device is obsolete and its effects are limited (no separate gobo wheel, no possibility of mounting master-slave cascade one operating mode ...) we do a lot better now even on entry-level scan ...
By aillor: its DC motor unreliable (especially compared to the stepper current scans) and connections of said engine (long wire and end subject breaks) are common causes of failures resulting in a fixed beam .. . and lamp holder is also unreliable (a change frequently if lamps burn or charring support)
mediocre camera (which is perhaps even more distributed now?) that I do not Rasht ...
