- In which country was it made? ......... France

The settings are ultra basic one master volume, a balance between micro (passive) and the piezo underneath the bridge and basta.

- What type of race? ......... screwed

What is surprising at first glance the grip is light weight and relative sense of "fragility".
It is an instrument "noise" and it shows immediately.

UTILIZATION

The handle end is very very fast, very low action makes the game, pins notes are discreet but very well prepared and are a great help to play fair.
Access to acute no problem. While the handle is an extraordinary fluidity.

Personally I find this instrument beautifully made, original headless design is very successful, the key precious wood (rosewood of more than a century) is a real treat, the finish is perfect, the instrument fairly well balanced .... short! the first contact will make you want to go further.

SOUNDS

Unplugged, the instrument sounds already. The table go very well. It may well do a few lines or work his ideas without amplification.

One branch! Middle position is ecstasy (si! if!) The grain noise is obvious. Played in the neck was the feel of a bass, the sound is deep, excellent sustain, harmonics sound perfectly ... a real treat.

Towards the bridge is obtained a very sound medium and "electric" without any time to give up his acoustic side. If we switch on the microphone while the lower midrange goes forward. The sound is rather late, no big bass invasive but highly accurate sound that will be ideal for jazz but poorly adapted to the big funk that spot.

In any case, it will be very easy to bring out in a mix

I play a Fender Bassman 250/210 Multicomp with a Boss Chorus and EBS rev5

I mounted the ropes LA BELLA "Black Nylon" thread plates that are in my opinion much better suited to this type of instrument.

OVERALL OPINION

Mine in 1994 and was made the first of which is equipped with micro Piezzo. An instrument "historical" so that I bought used in April 2008.

It was recently restored by Leduc Himself.

We really feel to play on an instrument of high quality, the pleasure it gives is immense and this is its greatest asset. Besides, I am aware of the progress I've been doing that have, I can play for hours (accro! !!!!!!!)

This is really an instrument except that it is difficult to compare with the rest of the production.

Leduc is currently developing the next generation with a new piezo and midi output ....... 6-string model well but I try to almost € 4000 is not the end for now and then I will sell mine ..... to see.

I recommend the wonderful disc Gilles Coquard "Soli" highlighting the instrument in its various versions: fretless, 6 string ....

Models occasions are as rare as expensive but ... go for it!
