UTILIZATION
It is a low well balanced, pleasant to the touch, trusted, including his very heartfelt weight and good quality mechanical.
The overall quality impression is confirmed in the grip. The flat handle turns fast and accentuates the pleasure to perform drag. The string spacing is nice for a 5 string and will be the most bassists without disorient them. Access to the treble is clear.
The electronics allows very fine adjustments.
The string tension is perfect out, especially on the low B which holds the road well.
You will look like a good point or not the fact that the handle has no marks except white marks on the wafer. Personally, I chose this bass specifically for this aspect.
SOUNDS
This instrument sounds really good fingers, slap or plectrum (yes, that's interesting too). The fineness settings allows many types of game. For my part I use it often acoustic but also in Rock and Metal styles. I personally like a lot.
Note that I am not a jazz musician and I feel that this instrument, particularly given its look, designed to appeal to a more electric public. Yes, I enjoyed myself but maybe a picky jazzman found that the instrument or lack of it away. Unfortunately, I can not speak for sounds that are not my specialty.
OVERALL OPINION
I bought this new low at Thomann for just over € 800, especially because it was one of the few 5-string bass with black body and sleeve. Basic, I find her look fabulous. I use it for a little over a year and this was my first bass fretless. I would do this choice without hesitation because it has fulfilled all my expectations. In particular, I have had no trouble playing fretless from day one and I did feel that my growing pleasure of playing was also linked to the overall quality of the instrument.
In my view, provided you have a good ear and not be disturbed by the position of the marks on the edge, those who want to get their hands on a first fretless will be pleased with this purchase.
For a series of fretless, we can truly say that the instrument is of good quality. To get better, you have probably pay more or go through a luthier.See less00
