The new Street Bass features an adjustable, cast metal bridge/tailpiece that has a large bridge-to-body footprint, designed to give the bass a resonant coupling to the basswood body.
The strings can be strung through the body for sustain or can be strung at the bridge for rich tone, depending on the player’s preference. The maple neck has a smooth satin finish, and access to the upper frets for Flea-style jamming is easy, thanks to the contoured heel at the base of the neck, the company says.
The dual coil Alnico “humbucking” pickup gives the Fleabass a low end thump and midrange punch designed to magnify fat lows and sweet glossy highs.
Color choices include Silver Sparkle, Classic White, Black and Blue.
Pricing & Availability
The Streetbass has a MAP starting at $299.99 and is available now.
