Exotic woods such as rosewood and ebony are getting rarer in certain countries who are now more concerned about forest preservation. Höfner has been aware of this situation for quite some time now and decided to work on eco-friendly fingerboards using composite material to equip its basses. After a few months testing prototypes, the final version is now ready to ship.
The Höfner Eco Violin Bass is a limited edition available in two Ivory with blue fingerboard and Black finishes. Various colors are available, which is no fancy but an original way to highlight this new fingerboard.
The Höfner Eco Violin Bass is based on the 500/1 model and is manufactured in Germany. Its price is the same as the original, 2340€, with an included hard shell. Visit your local authorized dealer for availability of this limited edition instrument.
