The Kala S-U-B Series offers an alternative to Kala’s California series of USA manufactured solid body basses. Subductive (S-U-B) is inspired by the term used to describe how the Mariana Trench, the deepest known point in the Pacific Ocean, was created. Concomitantly, the U-Basses are equipped with Kala’s polyurethane strings designed to produce bottom end that the company describes as as seismic.
Four string fretted versions are available in Sunburst, Red, and Black finishes. All Kala U-Basses are designed to be portable and meet airline carry on requirements. Other features include a Shadow pickup system with volume control and 2 band EQ, Custom Hipshot Tuners, and Graph Tech Black Tusq self-lubricating nut. A Custom Deluxe Logo Gig bag is included in the price of each instrument.
