Xotic introduces the Xotic XP-1T made of "medium-weight alder for solid low and low-mid range tones."
Xotic changed the neck joint and heel cutaway to improve playability in higher positions, the company says. The XP-1T's neck is a hand carved C-shape and finished off with Xotic XP-OG1 oil rub. The fit and finish are designed for smooth and stress free playing, according to Xotic.
The rosewood fingerboard features a 10" radius. Frets are Jescar FW9665, designed to provide proper height and pitch stability.
Xotic used Alnico 5 magnets and a coil design that is designed to capture the sound of the P style bass in a 5-string format. Like all Xotic basses, this model features a Tri-Logic Preamp.
No pricing info, but you can visit Xotic for more details.
