It's an anywhere jam along box of joy.
My Line6 ax212 gets a lot of rest since I got the little blue box.
Not much bigger than a pack of cigaettes, the Pandora, a good set of headphones and a good guitar, in my case a Strat with Lace's
and you may not be heard from for days.
Packed with features and some really remarkable editable tones make it a delight.
Using the rhythm mode it is just the tiket for slumping back and coming up with new riffs. And if you like it -record it.
You can also run an outside source IE; cd player, drop out the midrange and be the guitar player.
It all fits in your guitar case and is a nice little effects unit when playing through an amp or recording into a board.
If mine was stolen today I would order another tomorrow

Considering what this little unit can do I can only say the stuff it comes packed with sounds so good you don't do much changing of anything but tone, tempo,rhythm and key for bass accomp.
Oh ya, nice tuner too.
The only thing I would add would be an automatic shut off after 5 minutes or so.
The window can be lit but to save batteries I usually shut off the light after I get going. It doesn't have another indicator light. Walk off and leave it on and tomorrow you'll need new batteries.

Small, light but well built. I hate to admit it but I've dropped mine acouple of time. It never flinched.

I purchased the korg px3 personal multi-effect processor from www.zzounds.com at a
cost of $169. The reason I purchased this
unit was to get some "cool" effects while
at the same time using it as a input to
my soundcard in my computer.

I really like the korg px3 for recording
my guitar through my computer. All you
need is a 1/4 inch male stereo
to 1/8 inch female stereo adapter
to plug into the output of this little
device, hook up a 1/8 inch shieled stereo
cable from the output of the px3 to the
line in port on your sound card and get
ready for some neat sounds. I've got a
sound blaster gold soundcard which is hooked
to my stereo. I can hear the stereo effects
of the px3 through my stereo. I can also
record my guitar using software like
cakewalk guitar tracks. I like the rasta,
chorus, blues, and jazz effects best because
I play jazz style music. You can hook
up a cd player to the Aux in port if
you want to play along with a cd. It has
a built in guitar tuner and a
phrase/trainer.

The px3 has preprogrammed bass and drum
parts for several styles of music, like
3/4, rock 1, rock 2, motown 1, motown 2,
etc., but as far as I know you cannot
program songs into the unit. It would be
nice to be able to type the chords in to
a song and have the unit automagically
change the bass lines according to the
chord. Overall I really like this unit
and I use other software on the computer
to generate bass, piano, and drum parts
anyway. So this unit is really nice. Its
got a wide arrange of effects. As I've
read in another review when the batteries
croak the unit sends a load racket
to your speakers. Hopefully, Korg can
fix this in the next release of the px3.

The unit is about the size of a small
calculator only a little thicker.
Quality is a 10. I've had it since
last year with no problems with it so far.

I take pandora px3 with me where ever I go
and hook small headphones up to the output.
Its great for practicing without disturbing
others. This is the smallest neatest
sounding amplifier you've ever heard with
stereo effects. It requires 4 aaa batteris.
I use nickel metal hyrdride rechargeables.
I highly recommend this little thing. I
would buy another one or the next version
of it.

The notice previously posted is very comprehensive on this point.
I would add just two things very helpful:
-It is backlit (most useful live)
-The names of the presets can be set in letters and figures can be "baptized" his sound, it helps them navigate.
A small flat on the tuner mode: When you go to tuner mode, do not touch the rotary dial! Otherwise your tuner will be in tune or higher LESS, and you will unknowingly give false ... It happened to me (in repeats thankfully) and I have been slow to find whence came the pale ...
Ah yes, also, it has a 9V input, like that over bp stack.

UTILIZATION

Personally, I first used to scratch, well, he sounds especially good!
We need the manual to configure it.
The wheel is great ... is not a knob, but it's something that two buttons + and -
Manual clear and precise (the same format as the Korg, thank you going to have thought ...)

Then, moving to bass, I kept it to the tuner and compressor. I know it's not made for that, but I have not won the lottery either .... Well he is doing not too bad.

Note that for low to the headphone, it is not powerful enough (but I remember that it is not made for that, so I do not want to account the note)
The "Center Cancel" is effective, the functions of slowing troubleshoot, the rhythm is a little gadget (I'm rather served as the metronome sounds weird are the BAR)
One wonders how many still take things in there!

SOUND QUALITY

As already said: Sounds GREAT!
It is clear that not everything is set up (often by a single parameter effect) but since there are several kinds of effect proposed by category, it happens quite easily what we want.
It is true that it is for the personal work initially, but considering the quality of some sounds, I also looked in the manual if you could not put a small pedal somewhere to use it live ...
But no it is not made for it.
Engineers were still thought to an alternative "scene" where you can lock all buttons except the + and-change preset. It helps to put it in his pocket ... or at least not trigger the drum machine by mistake!

OVERALL OPINION

You'll laugh, but it lacks one thing above: It does not have the time!
Indeed, when you start with, we never know when you will stop ...
Count based on its size, the many things it offers, the sound quality, it deserves 9 / 10.

The manual is clear and very intuitive.
Done as a chain of pedals ampli/disto-> grave/aigu-> effects-> reverb-> HP.

SOUND QUALITY

Strength of the Pandora.

It is very permeable to different kinds of guitars, a Start and LP ring (very) different.

Distos sharp, good reverb, very usable in all circumstances, live, repeat.

Many varied and useful effects, stereo output + + +.

I put 8 because everything is not perfect, but for the price is 10. Then 9.

When recording, I use it on a SP5. The Pandora Rams completely PS5-level results, but it is a recorder first.

OVERALL OPINION

I've had 4 years. I use the headphones, live recording.

That effect must-have for working at home, as it is comprehensive, convenient and cheap (200 €).

If I lose, I'll buy the same used, because in addition it is not expensive when you find one.

Korg Pandora PX3 is a multi-effects box that I have used with electric guitar and electric bass.  The unit is a digital one, and can be used with any electronic instrument since it has standard 1/4 inch connections for input and output.  The PX3 has a variety of features including effects, recording, and drum patterns.  It isn't rackable as it is in a simple box form.

UTILIZATION

While I really have only used Korg Pandora PX3 for effects, I've always found this little box easy to use.  Pulling up the presets and scrolling through them is quite basic and easy to do, as is playing the rhythmic tracks.  Beyond this, I haven't used the box for anything else, so I can't say how easy to use the other features are.  This being said, from what I can tell everything is pretty user friendly, but I would suggest having a manual around if you are planning on using everything that the PX3 has to offer.


SOUND QUALITY

The sound quality of the effects of the Korg Pandora PX3 are pretty good overall.  There are definitely some interesting presets, but I can't say that I've been blown away by any of the effects.  All of the presets have the ability to be edited, and I believe that you can save them as well.  I've used the box in a variety of different set ups, but mostly with a Gibson SG and a '76 Fender Twin Reverb.  While I wouldn't use the box for recording, if you're looking for a multi-effects unit for shows or just to mess around with, the PX3 will do the job.


OVERALL OPINION

I've been using the Korg Pandora PX3 for a number of years, as it was one of the first effects boxes of this type that I used.  The PX3 is no longer being made, but you can find them used at a pretty cheap price.  I would generally shy away from using multi-effects boxes as they don't share the same quality of individual effects, but if you're looking for an effects box that can give you a number of different basic effects at the push of a button, I'd recommend checking out the PX3 and the later models in this line of effects boxes.
