Published on 01/25/03 at 15:00I wanted a decent 7 string with low price and since my last Ibanez was a great guitar i figured why not go with what i know. I bought the guitar at Guitar Center for $250, I talked the guy down from $300 but this may have been him tring to give me the run around but he lowerd the price so don't run to your local Guitar Center and demand the clerk drop the pice 50 bucks.
This is a great guitar, it is made with great quality. It holds it's tune vary well and it has a nice thin neck. It has a nice black finish not a thin finish like some.
It may have just been mine but the pick ups were crap well not that bad but not really good but i replaced them but this is my only complaint about this guitar.
As i said this is a strong durable guitar, i have banged it in the walls, droped it, and kicked the crap out of it and it has only a few minor dents. The Tuners are great and hold tune well, i don't have to tune it for days. This is a great guitar for it's price.
If you are looking for a good first guitar or even a nice upgrade the Ibanez GRX-720 is the 7 string for you.
