«  Great guitar! »

Value For Money : Excellent
This Ibanez is more or less a reissue of a model of the 90s. It is made in Indonesia under the label Ibanez Premium. This is a signature Steve Vai.
Vibrato is an Edge Zero II-7 Type Floyd Rose. The handle is wide, thin and very flat (radius 400 mm).
The pickups are two double and one single DiMarzio Blaze, along with a 5-way switch, a volume and a tone.
The guitar comes with a soft carrying case (soft case) that protects the instrument well and that is lightweight and also with a kind of Swiss Army knife that features all-Sunflower screws, keys and slider necessary for the proper adjustment of the instrument .

UTILIZATION

The handle is very nice with the usual (but still confusing at first for someone like me who has 6 strings vintage trend).
The guitar is very light and well balanced. Access to acute is excellent.
In short, excellent ergonomics ... the opposite would have been surprising, it remains a guitar made (in outline) on the model of a modern Stratocaster but with 7 strings.

SOUNDS

This guitar is much more versatile than you might think.
Obviously, she is very comfortable in large saturations in the hard rock and metal (of course this is still a Steve Vai signature), but I use it as the main guitar in a pop-rock and it takes its role perfectly! If the grave is a real treat.
The clean sounds are very nice and light saturation.
Used with a Hughes & Kettner Tubemeister 18, I get all the sounds I want.
I love the neck pickup, the bridge pickup also simple central is quite interesting, but I'm not crazy intermediate positions which combine with simple double splités ... too crystalline, too cold, too clinical for me. But all that remains personal.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for a few months and I have no intention of selling it (though I'm not someone who keeps his equipment too long!).
I almost returned directly to the store after receiving so setting delivery was calamitous. It was unplayable ... After an almost complete disassembly and a few hours to tweak the settings, it is perfect. But if you're not used to sharp tuning a guitar (especially with a Floyd), it will go to a luthier after purchase ...
Polishing frets is OK but not perfect ...

What I like most:
- Sound, versatility
- If the grave, it's great for a lot of styles (metal, but also pop, jazz, etc.).
- The look!
- Comfort
- The soft-box

What I like least:
- Adjustment on delivery (unacceptable)
- Some small points finish

The price / quality ratio is good (but I bought it on sale for 1000 euros).
With experience, I do it again this choice.
