Published on 06/26/01 at 15:00i got it from an online dealer. i picked it up for 299+shipping. one hella bargain. i bought it beacouse of my guitar teacher. he has an american custom ibanez and i wanted to closest thing to his that i could afford. and i got a great deal.
everything. i love the guitar. it sounds sweet. i have a 50 wat amp with over drive and clean channels with reverb.it sound great clean or distorted. it has alot of bass in it though, but it can be adjusted to sound amazing. it never becomes detuned, it had a floyd rose single locking trem and a locking nut.it has psnd-1 pickups in a humbucker/single/humbucker configuration. they all rip. the neck is a wizard style neck with jumbo frets. it has one tone and one volume nobs.
there really isnt that much that i dont like about the guitar. every problem there is can be adjusted. the pickups are over sensitive and if you crank the guitar theyll buzz alill. so i turn my amps distortion on and volume up.then i turn the guitar volume down untill the buzz stops but the distortion is still there. if im playing clean i turn the distortion/overdrive switch on the amp off and adjust the volume till theres a clean undistorted tone. all the problems ive heard other people say are easily fixed. the only thing i really dont like about it is the input jack. ive had to fix it 2 times allready and ive owned the guitar for about 10 months now.
the guitar is well made except the input jack. ive never had to tune it but once, and i havent changed the strings yet. i think its allmost about time to change the strings. my model is jewel blue. its an amazing looking guitar. the single locking floyd rose trem is stable and the neck plays beautifuly. its a rock solid guitar.
ive played better guitars but ive played many worse. for the money id recomend it to anyone. if i was asked if this guitar was a begginer / intermediate / expert guitar id say intermediate. ive played her on stage and it rocks.
