I have this guitar now for a little over a year. I threw myself on to the exit, after testing for a living, then store.

What I really liked it more than the qualities promoted by the marketing Line6 was the possibility to change the tuning on the fly, and the range of sounds available. This is useful for bosser home to go into a shot of a standard tuning knob to any open tuning, a baritone tuning etc.. In addition, it is possible to define himself his favorite tunings and save them in the guitar through some manipulations explained in the manual.

On the available sounds, to be honest I'm not convinced by the "realism" all promoted on the quality of simulations. Already it is difficult to get to render this or that guitar just changing the behavior of the microphone, while the violin is also involved in the sound ... After that, it is very correct, and personally I see the possibility of changing the "guitar guy" more like a nice way to expand his sonic palette. In particular, I enjoyed myself with simulations of acoustic guitars or weird instruments. But in recording, I prefer to use "real microphones." You really feel a difference in play between the models and reality, especially if tuning a little violent or doing palm mutes are used. Weird thing also, I wanted to add a little gain in output types microphones Les Paul (a metalhead metalhead it all day), using the software and the interface provided with the guitar, I was able to saturate circuits of the guitar, which has forced me to reduce some of the settings that I provided ...

For the rest, I do not like the tremolo arm that breaks the mouth all the time, I like the violin in general, handle, mechanical, the cover and all that came with, I do not the weight of the beast. And I have not hooked on the original pickups. I changed (some difficulty) the humbucker for a SH-6 (metalheads blah) and then it gets better right away: I found the bass! Oh I forgot: I do not like the price

To summarize, an original concept, a nice guitar to use modeling that could be better microphones and a little weak, editable tunings and sound palette are really huge, and a slightly higher price for an "average guitar range "with gadgets.

I suggest you also try the other models if you are interested in the guitar, the original pickups were different to me it seems, and I remember especially hooked on JTV-89 (...), but unfortunately had no vibrato ...

I ordered this guitar on a trusted German. She is beautiful, nothing to say. The violin is good and it gives an impression of solidity. The handle is nice.

For the rest, the strings vibrate 4-6 (probably a manufacturing defect but I found a huge guitar 1250 euros can leave the store with such a default), the vibrato "turns", the battery discharges even when modeling guitar part is "off". Finally, I think the guitar modeling is not very good (pretty much agree with the previous opinion).
In addition, the use, which is at turns pretty gadget and I think it is better to invest in a good multi effect that, anyway, is indispensable.
In short, guitar awaiting removal. Big, very big disappointment.

I've had it about 3 weeks.
This is one of the first Variax James Tyler arriving on French soil because even if it is already in the catalog of some stores they put a little time to arrive.

The finish is excellent (difficult to distinguish between the Korean version and the U.S. version so the Koreans are beautiful). FYI, they are manufactured to the same location as the PRS SE. I think it's a guarantee of quality, because PRS does not help I think to entrust the production of his guitars to teams to anyone.

This is the first Variax modeling guitar that I had the opportunity to use. I already had a lot of guitars in the hands (not all those modeled by the Variax ... there are 25), but a few. The models have really amazed. The magnetic pickups (which were not on the Variax Previous) are very good too. JTV on this 69, there are enough microphones halfway between the two worlds typed & Fender DiMarzio.

The price is excellent value for 1200 was € already a great guitar, but is also capable of (very good) model 25 electric guitars, acoustic, resonator, ...

What I like most? ... I can not answer the question so this guitar is homogeneous in terms of quality (violin & finish, playability, pickups magnetic modeling). I would say that in any case this guitar is a fabulous Swiss army knife for recording in the studio. No need to move all your guitars.
