2010 marked Pearl’s break-in to Electronic Drums with its product E-Pro Live, an electronic drumset designed to look, feel and sound like real drums.
Pearl has partnered with FXpansion, makers of the BFD2 sound library; Steven Slate Drums; ToonTrack, creators of EZDrummer software and; Tapspace Publications, creators of the Virtual Drumline 2.5 software.
The Pearl r.e.d.BOX (R.E.D. standing for Real Electronic Drums), is the Drum Module for E-Pro Live. The module has 128MB of RAM – The full memory is used to accommodate the Original Acoustics of 1000 High Definition sounds and 100 High Definition kits with room for 100 user defined kits. One of the features of the r.e.d.box module is the ability to flash the memory and replace the Original Acoustics with one kit available at www.redboxsoundshop.com. Plug r.e.d.box into your Mac or PC via USB and sub-out your module memory for the kit of your dreams from FXpansion, Steven Slate Drums, ToonTrack, or Virtual Drumline 2.5.
