Roland TD-4KP

Hello all Afiens, I just bought this machine because I have to migrate apart. I give you my first impressions.

Good to share that I will have to solve the problem of the structure-borne blows big boxes, not to blow a cable to my downstairs neighbors, I think that overall this little kit is really cool the touch is super nice, nothing to do with electro batteries I was testing 15 years ago.
Triggers respond great.

Unpacking, a small flat cable guide plastoc farted, but it's okay I'll pick. It's the one to take me twenty minutes to assemble the first time.
Then, it is super easy to assemble and disassemble, it takes less than 5 minutes by my watch.

Module: the sounds are pretty cool.
It is hyper-intuitive, I did not read the manual.
It is easy-pilot midi sounds a virtual farm into a sequencer, it's pretty easy to set up.
-You can send a playback in the module via an analog stereo mini-jack to play along.
-Stereo line level.


Big flats of the module:
-Because I have not read the manual, but familiar with the Roland modules, I'm 90% it has no preset user .....
-No midi in, you can not drive through a sequencer module, which is a pity because the sounds are pretty cool.
Midi-din 5pin out in, at the usb it may annoy some, especially as more recent sound card, have no midi din.
Headphone-jack format misplaced bar module now makes it difficult to access the socket.


I am disappointed by the lack of a USB port Midi in / out .....

Otherwise Overall I think it is very practical as gear, I bought the optional gig bag, easy to carry.
on the other hand do not expect to use public transport with that, it seems light at first, but over a long distance it quickly becomes cumbersome.
If you do not have much space as it is a perfect kit installed is already not very bulky when folded but it is a huge space savings.

In any case I would do this purchase.
