Well ok ... I did not have long.
But I had so informed before I think I already made a valid opinion on the beast. I hesitated for three weeks between Roland TD-3, and MPS-300 Yam DTXpress III ... Finally I fell for the Yam and so far so good, no regrets (though my bank account still crying).
I had the opportunity to try the TD-3 and she liked me too, but the fact that DTX is more complete (both the module's set), this for a minimal price difference , I decided to choose it.
Well basically, it's good stuff, the set is robust, easy to install and play on the pads is nice. Please note, I did not say it was like to play real drums, far from it. If someone tells you otherwise is that it has a lot of imagination ... Indeed the difference is minimal and not detrimental to the game, but ... it seems clear that a latex pad and a real Tom is definitely not the same. However, it is not because it's different that's not good ... but I'm not here to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of e-drums.
So DTXpress III: set = nickel.
For the module is the same, the sounds are correct, the various kits, and the opportunity to play with a virtual band is simply amazing to me. The sounds of other instruments sound a little 80s Bontempi (I exaggerate a bit though) but it's still fun to type in the beef, even with a virtual band. In addition it helps move squarely in this group because no one ever made of bread or does not make mistakes in the chord progression ... Plus they play all styles and they do not slow down when you're on break break (that's crazy !!!). To get a beer after repeated still prefer a real band, the DTX module lacks a bit of conversation ...
If we add all the possible creation of user kits, use of song etc, etc ... I think we can say that the module is pretty cool for the price, especially compared to the roland.
So sail ...
default level, I believe that apart from those common to all e-drums I see two:
- First the charley whose use is still far from what we can do with real drums. it requires time to adapt and / or settings but hey it's OK I assure you.
- Secondly the output volume of the module rather feeble ... no way to have fun ears with headphones (!!!!). Pushing the volume it does, but hey a little room would not displease me.

Voila ... I hope I help

A + seb

8 / 10: 0.5 points less for the Hi-Hat 0.5 for output volume, 0.5 because I did not find the snare sound of my dream in the 900 sound module (!!!???), and becaufe the 0.5 scoring system does not include half-point ...
