Published on 08/05/12 at 07:29I wanted a nice case for my beautiful Ibanez Ibanez BTB 770 PB Amber!
And so I got a holster adapted with Ibanez logo in large above: joy!
But I soon found that the finish was not as flawless as I would have expected from a brand if known.
The interior is impeccable. The materials are of good quality, and everything is perfectly positioned and fixed. A little extra cushion readjustable is placed under the head of the bass, to keep him seated. A significant storage is installed at mid-height, under a flap.
The set is solid wood, and, therefore, a fairly substantial weight!
But ...
The exterior finish, at the clasps, is to look quite messy. I mean is that both sides of the various clasps are obviously not very well fixed vis-à-vis one relative to another, giving the impression that both sides of the trunk as a whole are not properly adjusted.
I've seen several similar products, but "unbranded", at half price, whose finish was superior in this respect, while remaining equal. So maybe that clasps were less strong (I do not know!), But they were impeccably placed, for sure!
Well, that does not stop to close the safe easily. But this is a problem finishing glaring, and that is not very serious about an accessory brand, I think.
It does not prevent me from using it and show it, that being said!
NB: I did not put the score at all because I did not find the option in this case (not available for this type of material?). So we should not believe that I put a score "zero" either! Far from it!
