VIENTO Querflöten presents a real novelty at the Musikmesse 2008 in Frankfurt: The VIENTO FL 100 R-Ces, a transversal concert flute, but pitched in the key of Cb.
This new Cb-Flute can be played in marching bands, without modifying the Cb music sheets.
In many arrangements for marching bands the music sheets for flutes are written for a Cb key. Playing a transversal concert flute in such an arrangement is quite demanding for the flutist, as he/she has to play 7b accidentals.
The new flute FL 100 R – Ces from VIENTO provides an elegant solution: it is tuned to the key Cb. Now for the first time a transversal concert flute can be played in marching bands besides the traditional marching band Cb-flutes.
With a robust, but easy to play mechanics and a powerful, clear sound, this new flute has been designed specifically to the requirements of flutists in marching bands.
