UTILIZATION

Very simple, 2 buttons, config classic fuzz face (we can always regret the abscence tone or even a bias)

SOUND QUALITY

Very good fuzz, perfect for users humbucker, I sometimes criticized fuzz face be excellent with single coils and losing mojo going to double.
We feel that the pedal was designed for fans of Les Paul etc ... it's good for me, that's what I prefer.
We have a fuzz face probably a little cleaner than the standard production, it is also what makes it interesting (ca avoids having 10 clones fuzz face in the same spirit)

OVERALL OPINION

Excellent pedal, a fuzz face that takes a bit of the lot for its highly efficient side with humbucker.
May be more a fuzz face complement for someone who already has a more "classic"

SOUND QUALITY

Joe Bonamassa is an amazing blues player. He's really taking the world by storm, and his tone is amazing, albeit a bit of a copy of Eric Johnson's tone. He has always had an interesting theory in that he likes to utilize off the shelf gear. This way, if something goes wrong, he can just stop by the store and get a new one. With the boutique pedals, you can't really do that. To help him out, Dunlop decided to make a signature fuzz based on his old school Fuzz Face that he used to run. It has your standard level and fuzz knob, along with the crazy housing they used to have.

UTILIZATION

The pedal itself isn't the best in terms of design. It takes up a ton of space on the pedalboard, and it can be a real pain to place on cramped boards. In fact, it's almost impossible. That's why you see so many of them off the board instead of on them. The knob layout is super simple, and anybody can figure this thing out without having to use a manual. I never personally read the manual, so I couldn't tell you how well it's written, but it's seriously not needed. The housing itself is crazy sturdy, so no worries about it breaking.

SOUND QUALITY

The sound is very much like the normal Fuzz Face. I'm actually not a huge fuzz user, so a lot of these old school fuzz pedals sound the same to me. It's an old school, lower gain fuzz sound. It can give your amp a nice kick in the nuts, but I prefer using a more subtle setting. Once you do that, you can get a really cool sound through a Marshall. In fact, you can get that neat Eric Johnson-esque tone with this thing, but you have to be careful not to use too much fuzz...unless you're looking for that fuzzy kind of tone.

OVERALL OPINION

The pedal is solid, and it sounds good. I don't run one because of how much real estate it takes up on the board, and I prefer building my own pedals, but it's a very solid pedal that sounds good and can deliver that signature Joe tone, as well as that Jimi tone.
