Analog pedal, 3 knobs, 1 switch rocker + 1, external power supply jack and 9 volt battery compartment inside (accessible only after unscrewing four screws tedious tiny wire. But building issue, a tank!

SOUND QUALITY

(S) sound (s)? So, you know? The ultimate in fuzz, because creamy and smooth like a pie in the sun but without the smelly side thug. Especially, a fuzz which restored perfectly, in his delusions fuzzesques, the corrections we applied to the tone knobs on the guitar (and yet, at the time, I did not already guitar great luxury).
A fuzz so generous and well made that it magnified the two small shovels quite ordinary to asses which I plugged in. A true gift, what, for USD 280 to 1978, she gave my guitars the other models have much more ambitious.

It is in my hardware "old", and for good reason: it is one of my "missteps" the most caricatured, since I lost it all alone like an idiot in a move that I made myself in 1989. One last card left in the alcove of the truck I had rented, not want to cough up USD 10 per half hour for exceeding the rent (connard! this is how you lost 280 USD of absolute enjoyment), and this is how we offload a fabulous tool.
I've never recovered from that mistake, I would have preferred me to fly. But now I'm just in front of my perpetual accusation immeasurable stupidity. I researched the grail that could allow me to touch the ear of this absolute myth, and only lately, in an Angry Fuzz from Visual Sound has managed to soothe that disappointment somewhat.
This was my second distortion / fuzz, my parents had provided for my 15 years. A tremendous gift, those who put a happy smile on the face of any bushel that caresses the desire to approach the sound of his idols. With her for hours and hours, weekends full, I played seven or eight songs from the album "On your feet or on your knees" by Blue Oyster Cult, and I was there on the stage of my room to give the reply to Buck Dharma, emulating his sound to make it better than him ...
If the rating of these pedals that was not absolutely crazy on occasion (which y'en s'touchent, anyway!), And if I was absolutely sure of finding THIS pedal with this circuit and not an effect other (Big Muff variants have been very short time, in years 76 to 80), I would jump on it. unnecessary CHARACTERISTICS s'taler on, everybody ... connate level-tone-drive, that is the legendary trilogy from any distortion / overdrive / fuzz respectable!
simple, effective, and no, not via an editor ditables Mac / PC (I rponds questions ...)

Use? well as distortion / fuzz dmnage that, on any instrument and any style!

SOUND QUALITY

Mine is a version of 74-75, all the Premire with typography dsormais well known (black and orange, the big PI in the middle, etc ...), and especially with the circuit Fully welded hand, not the Op-amp circuit version printed in the late 70's

the effect is simply beautiful, and I mean compared to all other versions (from the very Premire output, the MK1, which I've never tried or even seen)

I have heard and tried the Sovtek, the Russian version current version reissue United States and the op-amp vintage late 70's, I tried the same copy of Behringer! (which also reports pretty amazing quality for money, but is not the purpose ...)
The major diffrence is a grain much screaming, with a swing espce particulire free when you sustain a note ...
the sound is REALLY dirty trs, so in fact it does not fit all ...
on the other hand, if your preferences run to the rock ind sounds sharp or dirty and the pure feeling 70's, it's all good!

OVERALL OPINION

To me the best, most authentic, the most rebellious, in a word the real!

PS: This notice applies to guitarists, because in terms of bass, my choice would be to plutt current Russian version, which is more severe in potato and is more prcise ...
