Akai updated its MPC software to version 1.5, which can now be used in standalone mode without the hardware.
Thanks to this v1.5 update, you can now use the MPC software without the need to connect your hardware sequencer.
Plus, a new MIDI control mode allows for using the MPC sequencer as a programmable MIDI control surface.
The v1.5 update also brings various improvements, such as a tree-view for displaying the content in the project information window, the ability to listen to samples or limit the display to the samples in use.
You can view the full list of improvements and download the update at www.akaipro.com.
