The core audio manager is not quite compatible with Intel Macs.
In fact, if you want eg (which is my case) box using your M as its output to play music on your monitor speakers. Some problem of buffer size and include USB.
Let me explain:
- When you open itunes and default audio output is rgl on M box. The core audio manager opens and sometimes playing itunes does not dclenche. It is then necessary to close and reopen two applic. It is a little haphazard.
- Other cases: itunes Get You Started well, reading too many snaps. However, if you try to open any applic, Ifoto eg (very good example). The music sometimes gets blown several times.
