Mixbus v3.1 was designed to provide more control over the look and feel of Mixbus, with controls for the user to scale the channelstrips to match the monitor size, from the smallest laptop screen to the largest desktop monitors.
The new “Favorite Plugins” feature provides a list of the user’s favorite plugin settings in a convenient list that can be dragged into the tracks. It’s also possible to choose multiple tracks and apply a plugin to one’s selection. Plugins can be added pre-fader or post-fader on each track, and when you find your favorite settings for a plugin you just have to drag the plugin into the favorites list, then reorder the favorites list to keep your most-used favorites at the top of the list.
Mixbus v3.1 also has an expanded “monitor” section that allows to add plugins for room correction and/or metering in the listening path, without affecting the master bus output.
Public release date was not announced yet, but doesn’t seem to be planned anytime before the NAMM ends (January 24th). More details to follow.
