Tube Overdrive

UTILIZATION

very simple with separate bass and treble

SOUND QUALITY

This is a very fine overdrive which increases the definition notes
we get a warm and airy.
Do not push the drive: drive at 10 and a half volume and gives a very beautiful sound.
This is a pedal for a very light crunch and in this case, it does a good job
It is also very effective to complete another drive upstream (to thicken) or downstream (for booster)

OVERALL OPINION

This is a pedal that I use in addition to another overdrive
the result is superb!

Pedal 12AX7 overdrive.
I play it with a Squier Stratocaster CV50's with Alnico III.
Only works with external power, and fortunately, she eats 9V 420mA under.
We see the light shining through a piece of plexiglass.

UTILIZATION

The case is very simple, very "basic" rather sober but solid.
The setup is classic: Level, Drive, EQ
It is a 2-band EQ (low, high) that some will love, but I would have preferred a single tone.
It takes 5 seconds to warm up and then we quickly found what we want, from clean to overdrive warmed punchy!


SOUND QUALITY

My amp is a Attax 80 of H & K, a transistor rather pleasant, a clean channel and lead channel slamming a little less dynamic, too compressed for my taste.
I bought this pedal from the perspective of my slightly dirty clean channel. And frankly, she does her job. A more friendly, just as dynamic, and just a dirty chouille when attacking hard to pick! So it suits me pretty well.
You'll understand it very well respected dynamics of play and that of the attack. On this point I'm thrilled.

on the other hand, it has a cabinet emulation. A very questionable choice since it is not very transparent when activated. So overall its a warmer chouille a nasal, but nothing too serious.

The EQ is very efficient, too efficient. Become shrill treble past 12 with my setup, and with the drive to end, I am obliged to put at 9am.
The drive is progressive, ranging from warm boost to overdrive punchy (but by no means a distortion of his style lamps powers).
I manage to get out of blues and rock well mellow cute (but you can barely sounding Hard Rock). A drive thus rather light.


OVERALL OPINION

I use only a few months, so I explored quite a playground but I compare it to other pedals of this type with a lamp.
Before I used the channel of my amp. And I also had a Korg multi-effect, which was perfect for my dynamic and eat my attacks chattering.
Like its momentum and heat, I like her less EQ system more suited for humbuckers.
