    Danelectro Grilled Cheese

Danelectro DJ-10 Grilled Cheese DistortionPublished on 12/10/03 at 15:00
The Darelectro effects pedal was purchased at Wedgle's Pawn and Music shop in Denver, Colorado. The pedal alone cost $45 dollars brand new, but I was able to get a deal on it because I bought two pedals and a case. The pedal was purchased for my boyfriend in order for him to have more distortion on his Jackson guitar.

The Grilled Cheese pedal, which offers the guitar player a bluesy distortion, is small and easily portable. It is also compatible with all the other Darelectro guitar effects, and offers a wonderful sound.

The only thing about Darelectro guitar effects is the retro aesthetic appearance of the individual units. Due to the fact that the pedals are sold separately, the buyer must be sure that the appearance is the look they are going for, otherwise difficulties and frustrations might arise. The AC-DC adaptor also burned out after about six months of use.

The individual pedals are about 3"x3", and each pedal offers a different color and creative name to remember them by. The on-off switch is a button that can definitely take a beating. The entire unit is well constructed, and the sound that the pedal offers is clear as long as the amp is a quality amp.

Overall, I am extremely happy with the quality of pedal that was acquired at a very reasonable price. Due to the fact that the pedals come individually (the case for them is sold separate), the effects are not only affordable, but each guitar player can build his/her effects case to their individual preference.
