This is an overdrive / distortion / fuzz produced by Kevin Henretta (Henretta Engineering).

UTILIZATION

The configuration is simple but complete:

The knobs (top to bottom):

Volume

Tone

High-Mid Crunch: Adjusts the saturation of the high mids.

Mid-Low Distortion: Adjusts the saturation of low mids.

Inside there is a trimpot:

Sets the "headroom". Ie, adjusts the compression of sound, if you want an ultra compressed, or very open. Both are possible, and that's great!

So settings level we spoiled!

SOUND QUALITY

The sound then, where I think she excels is on fuzz:


She is able to give his very powerful fuzz without screaming!

In fact, I can increase the Mid Low Distortion, I lower the tone and I note the high-mid crunch to be able to break into the mix without ears pierced!

Suddenly, with a strat we get a good fuzz Hendrix! Superb!

With Les Pauls (or in the style humbuckers) we obtain something really fat, really massive! Very accurate despite the large level of fuzz.

So, when I went I was looking for this pedal distortion. I finally found a real fuzzienne versatility.

After adjusting the internal trimpot to "open as possible" mode, you can get a pretty nice crunch, overdrive as if we do not go too hard on the gain knob.
I even managed to get a clean boost! Because for a fuzz, it is rather transparent, suddenly the clean boost is easily reachable by putting both knobs saturation to zero (or 1 if you are brats).

So we end up with a real machine to saturate, and yet it has only 4 knobs (5 if you count the trimpot).

So I know if I need a fuzz sound, I'll take my Choad Blaster (the name is misleading) and I would get to meet any type of fuzz sound that I want to emulate or create. It is handy to have on hand so

OVERALL OPINION

I use it recently but I intend to keep it.

No need to buy another fuzz pedal now that I have it, its versatility pushes me to keep me ready when needed its fuzzy.

In addition, she manages her work in clean boost, it's great!
