« Everything you expect from a strat ... »
Published on 09/11/12 at 13:29These pickups have replaced my original 95 U.S. Standard Strat neck mapple.
It's quite simple: I no longer recognize:
More nuance in the game: the "finger picking" brings a whole new sensation and is fun to shape the tone with your fingers.
+ Great sound palette available: with microphones original settings "extreme" the knobs "tone" were banned (0-2 muddy / past 6-7: screaming). Now these two knobs are really something .
The grave is dropped (blues, blues blues ....!), The mid and treble are "civilized." Indeed, the original rack mounted on my MIA was too aggressive (the maple neck there being no stranger, or at least not done to improve things) with the 57/62 we are in something much more musical. Output levels appear unchanged, so no scenery at the crunch. Regarding the ambiance, there is the sound of the early dire straits: exactly what I was looking for (thank you pitchoo34!).
The other registers are of course fully accessible to these microphones juqsu'à ... OD / disto light: and yes! (Well, it is not double anyway, but with TS808, it's all good).
I would recommend this product to anyone who wants his THE archetypal strat.
PS: after trial and error at the ropes, I must admit that these mics go very well with strings nickel, which remains in the mind 'vintage'.
