Cygnus recently bought and mounted on a studio LP 96,
his thick, much relief, strong character, the overall tone is colored certe rio grande (Slightly Darker than competition)

unlike gibson, the grain is not greasy and dense and tight, it allows sharp and well nasty crunch on the bridge,

the neck is very wooded, his deep, lots of definition, there is like a drama in the sound of this microphone,
crystalline intermediate position,

super set, strong character that differentiates it from other PAF by the particular coloration "Rio Grande", true trademark, in fact we find this characteristic sound in the other microphones (tallboy, Hallfbreed ....)

I have since installed two months on a cheap Gibson was equipped with original "Dirty Fingers" (dirty fingers, for the uninitiated). The skyscraper is a Firebrand 335S Standard (solid body shaped ES335 valued at argus increased only slightly in 25 years). I have not done a crime against Gibson.
The price / quality ratio is relative: the set cost me € 250 but now I have a Gibson on which I play every day while I denigrated. Why deprive yourself of such a quality violin, after all.
You can do anything with these pickups: rock, blues, jazz and even hard. It depends on the amp, of course. So far, I found the sound of Popa Chubby, AC / DC, Dire Straits, Robben Ford (plain as saturated) and jazz sounds typically by reducing the treble on the neck microphone.
I have a new Gibson for € 250 which gives me a great time.
This choice I would do without hesitation.

My level of satisfaction remains as lev. I really did everything with these pickups, partly thanks to the installation of a split for each. The guitar is my team with many jams, not knowing in advance what musical style would jou! Of course, the receiver must provide enough rglages that in order to be versatile, too.
I still want to point out something that I have not yet mentioned: These microphones have a bite that I thought impossible to achieve with humbuckers!
Regarding the split, I just found acceptable for manufacturers of guitars couraging wiring 4 wires simply propose a split gnral. It's a penny-pinching economy that deprives users of options super practical!
Also, I still possde "Dirty Fingers" original income got the day and plans to sell them: for the fans.
