Published on 05/17/14 at 05:16I greatly appreciate the Eminence and this brand has never disappointed me. I have other hand, a Governor and Man O War that I find very good.
The Cannabis Rex is the first and so far the only-Eminence Patriot I bought (the other two are part of the series "Redcoat") series.
As always with Eminence, the yield is the appointment: 101.8 db. Manufacturing is still done in the U.S., proof that it is still possible to produce in the West at a reasonable cost and properly paying employees. The other major brand HP Celestion actually produce almost everything in China, but continues to apply the same prices at the time of the "made in UK", which makes you wonder about the margin identified and respect to the customer ...
The Canabis Rex gives his set, air and very articulate in words; saturated, it offers a perfect homogeneity of the agreements without pumping effect (or vibrato if you prefer let it ring when the agreement), we feel that the membrane is perfectly drivée, a beautiful articulation of sentences solo and, again, a density which improves the intelligibility score. Many bodies also loose but firm bass. HP seems to me that suit all styles, it sounds in all circumstances. His character is a rather transparent asset when using effects pedals; it does not add and that's fine. We can count on him to respect the instrument but also the character of the amp which they are associated. I think it is fantastic in addition to the original HP on a Hot Rod Deluxe or Supersonic 60, two Fender tube combos. Duet with a Marshall Class 5 head, it is perfect and restores air, low volume, high spectrum.
I mounted it in a cab HP Palmer, the quality / price ratio staggering. All sounds really good.
