The TU-80 is the latest model pocket or case tuner from Boss. It is slim, lightweight and can be used as either a tuner or metronome.

I found this at Best Buy for $24. I didn't know they sold music gear.

I can plug into the tuner to tune or it has a built in mic. It makes a beeping sound when my note is in tune. This feature would appeal to setting up the intonation of your instrument, new guitarists or well anyone that has trouble hearing notes.

The tuner has a chromatic mode, so say I want to tune to a C note I can do that.

The unit runs on 2 AA size batteries. I prefer this over AAA as double AAs last longer and are easier to find when they die.

The buttons are a little stiff, but I assume they built it this way so the tuner doesn't go on and off all day inside your pocket or gigbag. I guess you don't want your bag to start ticking either if you want to board a plane!

The tuner is slim and fits easy into my hands. I'd compare it to the feel of a smart phone or remote control for a cable box.

The buttons really take some effort to press, but I can live with that.

I have nice a few fine scratches have formed. I have only had this tuner for a year. Oh well it keeps on working just fine.

Thinness is often an asset. The line of the new TU-80 reduces it to a pocket size while maintaining the quality and reliability of the tuner with LCD display BOSS. Accu-Pitch function sounds an alarm when the agreement is good. This time, you can not blame the tuner!

As the TU-80 Chromatic operates and is able to recognize an agreement more serious ("flat tuning"), it can be used to provide virtually any instrument (guitar, bass, strings, brass and winds in particular). It's been a month I use this tuner / metronome.

I appreciate having a single small device both functions, even if suddenly it becomes a bit of a Swiss Army knife or not very good for tuning, or to the metronome.

The tuner can be used with 3 modes: chromatic, guitar, bass, and as was said, with a 6-string bass as it works. The tuner part is accurate, but the bass does not react very quickly. I greatly appreciate the Accu-Pitch function that beep when the tuning is good.

Part metronome as has been said does not adjust the volume. And it is quite low indeed. When I play at low volume at home, it's still happening, but being more consistent with a volume, you can hear the metronome ... The latter with no headphones, you can not enter it in a console. Too bad.

Cheap, rather compact, but not always available ... close to a headphone jack!

I use it for a month

This is a great tuner very precise one can leave it plugged in between the amp and guitar for that matter. At least, well not much metronome function is a little low in volume if you play hard and heavy, but good for that price I think it looks most accurate and reliable tuner and here it is so excellent ^ ^

I already had a tenson: / dessacordé that very well ^ ^ ', the change is radical if I had tested other tuners "no brand" that was anything but terrible

The price is excellent value for less than € 30 you have an excellent and precise tuner, it works for bass and acoustic guitar

With the experience I referrer the same choice if you do not want to slam into a € 100 pro tuner you will use a times a week then this tuner is for you. If it's for the concert and leave it plugged in throughout your show go your way
