I have the first model with chrome pedal and purple box.

Adapter on the side and can connect a 9 volt battery inside outlet.

- I take off a point for that adapter plug is misplaced because in his very recessed holes and live on the circuit board which in my opinion is not good in the long term.
- The switch if too little touch mute, which is not very convenient.

+ Screw / Rubber can be removed by hand (practice for a quick change of battery.
+ Very good quiet rack and pinion system and slides very well. (More Fulltone Clyde Wah my)

UTILIZATION

The travel of the wah is adjustable. Simply remove the screws from the small white plastic (which takes the toothed bar supports). Then moving the toothed bar (located between the potentiometer and the white plastic) of the wheel (the main pedal potentiometer is rotated) then slightly rotates the potentiometer 1-2 notch on one side or the other so that the wah is a little more acute stroke or a little more serious. Then reinstall everything as it was and make sure testing with delicacy that few have all that pedal stroke without reaching the end of the potentiometer. Do not forget to test the activation of the pedal, which pushes even further the potentiometer.

If you ever get too turned the knob and it block the travel of the wah, just to make the necessary adjustment.

If you do not understand, you say that the potentiometer is 1 to 10. The stroke of the pedal action 6 so initially it is 2 to 8. By moving the potentiometer to be more keen on grave with control the tone of the wah 4 to 10. If you want the worst possible, it is turned in the other direction and found this to have control over the potentiometer 1 to 7.

Personally I set my foot for a slightly darker sound.

SOUND QUALITY

Very good sound quality. Compared to my Fulltone Clyde Wah, it is much higher in status clean / funk, but is less suited to his singing and blues and rock with more gain. So I strongly advise to funk.

on the other hand, if used in the context of big crunch, it is not his strength, what it does well, it lacks the side singing the Fulltone. It lacks a little something that makes the Fulltone is a notch above a Voodoo Child by Jimi Hendrix.

+ Transition treble-bass very very fluid.

+ - A little more subtle effect, and a less marked / Now that Fulltone Clyde wah.

OVERALL OPINION

Very good quality and sturdy rack system. She is doing well in clean and crunch, with a higher strength to clean and light crunch. Effect

UTILIZATION

Super simple. I had a cry baby before and it seems that the swith was harder,
I was sometimes forced to return to trigger the effect ... here, and after 5 years of weekly utilistation, nothing chang.C nickel

SOUND QUALITY

Better than the cry for three reasons:
- No sputtering with heavy use, no squeaks either
(Which the cry still did not disappear even with oil!)
- A rel bypass that does not alter the sound with the effect not enclenchbr /> (the cry of puff frquences)
- A fact not too loud but trs fluid, and passes ASEZ vintage trs
good solo with the same saturated fat. the jcm 800 9 ...
Trs progressive accentuation of the effect so good CONTRL.

OVERALL OPINION

Franchemnt, not much wrong. Budda makes trs good stuff.

UTILIZATION

Configuration very simple (like all the wah effect is unique)
I have the new model (2007), electronic level there are no changes, the only change is the creation of a hatch for battery under the sole of the foot pedal (it is obliged to remove the 4 screws from the sole) so it's simple and it saves time.

Build quality very neat, well-pedal travel progressive (it does not accouts or catching like most new or wah must recover from the fat around before starting to use it)

Switch set properly at the end of pedal travel (not too hard, not too soft and will fire at the right time)

Clean finish.

SOUND QUALITY

I also have a VOX V847. BUDDA I bought because I thought that the VOX was eating a lot of signal and in particular serious and wanted an additional and more versatile pedal. Simply put, I would say that Budd is a VOX without the defects of VOX: The true bypass is playing its part perfectly, the bass are present, the treble too loud, the sound is very well balanced in all and the pedal is very vocal.

It works relatively well in distortion and is present in very clean sounds, with its soft tones and thick unlike the VOX that the lack of serious feels like a bump in the high mid / treble and a hole in the bass.

The sonnorité is rather "vintage" see "Funky" but still it can also seem modern.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for a week, I use two wah, Budd and VOX, have two pedals complementary.

- Works as well as clean sounds that distortion, balance Audible low / mid / high

- Course fluid and progressive

The -:

- The Price: 169 Euros + 30 Dolard shipping costs 38 Euros + custom taxes (AC so my costs 180 euros) but no choice since sold only in the U.S.. However, the value for money is really good.
This choice I would do without hesitation, great product.

Budda is best known for its high-amp lamp-end. But the wah does not dmrite.

UTILIZATION

Operation is easy: it's a wah in its simplest form.
The scale is sensitive prcise and progressive.
The switch is perfectly calibrated.

SOUND QUALITY

This is a great sounding wah "vintage" round crmeuses, hot.
Submitted nice bass and well Dfine. Never shrill treble.
The sweep of the spectrum is soft: a whole in subtle wah.

OVERALL OPINION

This is a wah quality. Construction srieuse and solid. Original finish and chic. Great vintage sound.

Its default: poorly distributed in France and rare in the United States. The prerogative of Wahs high-end range.

UTILIZATION

As with the majority of Wahs, very straightforward to use. Push down into the toe position to turn it on, heel position to turn it off.

I've never had any issues in terms of quality or reliability. Well built, high quality components, never had an issue. The true bypass is a great addition.

Some versions of this have a plastic battery cover on the bottom which can be a pain. I just pull it off and cover the space with velcro.

SOUND QUALITY

There are actually three versions of this pedal. The new one, which is kinda junky in my experience, and two old ones. The oldest has a black logo and no bottom battery cover. This one sounds the best, by consensus and experience. There is also another one with a red logo and battery cover, which also sounds great.

I've heard the sweep of this pedal described as "only the frequencies you will need." Pretty much sums it up. It is a very closed sweep, and stays away from those piercing highs, so you don't need to worry about pressing toe down.

The sound itself is on the lower side of things, very funky. Full and throaty, no nothing thin here.

OVERALL OPINION

While the massive low end on this wah might not be for everyone, it is really incredible. Built well, sounds great, definitely brings the funk. It isn't really a reproduction of a vintage clyde sound (there are plenty of those out there..) but something new and different. I eventually switched over to a Moollon Vintage wah, but for what this one does, it is great. The prices on the old ones can be a little weird, I've seen them go for as low as 100 and as high as $250. It really depends on how many people are searching for one at any given time.

This is a wah pedal. You know what you're getting when you buy it. It's all analog and true-bypass, so there's no tone suck. It has an input, an output, a standard BOSS style center negative 9V DC power jack.

UTILIZATION

This is super easy to use. Just plug it in, press it all the way forward, and rock your foot to make it wah. It couldn't be any easier. No dials, switches, or knobs to worry about in this one, just pure, foot rocking wah.

SOUND QUALITY

This sounds awesome. Throaty, honky, and thick, full wah. It has a lot of treble without it being harsh or piercing, and has the right amount of bass, so it's not annoyingly muddy. It has enough mids to get a honky, throatier sound, which I love. This is the wah sound I love. It works with everything from clean blues, mid gain rock, to screamin, high-gain Thrash metal, and it does it all great. Very versatile wah. Distorted, it just screams. It helps cut better, and even heel down it's clearer than most wahs I've used. Very nice sweep. It has a large sweeo which gives you an even wider range of expression. High gain, it's a smooth, constant sweep. Toe down it has a lot of treble, but it;s not harsh and piercing, like all of the crybabies I've played are. Overall great sound. I've played many, many wahs. Countless Crybabies, Morleys, and Vox, and this one has reigned supreme in my eyes.

OVERALL OPINION

This is, in my opinion, one of the best wahs out there. Super easy to use, great sounding, and a joy to play. The sweep is smooth and quick, and it's very easy to move with your foot. It's well worth the price. It's a wah lover's wah. Thick, Throaty, Honky, and just great over all. This is the King of the Wahs.

This is a very simple ‘no frills’ wah pedal, similar in form to your standard dunlop crybaby. It features standard ¼” in and out jacks, options to be powered by 9V battery or an AC adapter, and a standard potentiometer driving the ‘wah’. Unique to the Bud-wah is the light purple color and chrome ‘rocker’ portion…who doesn’t like purple? :p

UTILIZATION

Using the Bud-wah is no harder than using any other wah pedal. The pedal activates and de-actives in the toe down position, so step on it, and ‘wah’ to your hearts desire. The switch isn’t nearly as ‘stiff’ as some crybaby wah pedals I have used before, making it easier to turn the effect on and off. The rocking motion of the pedal is very smooth.

SOUND QUALITY

I have been through a lot of wah pedals, and the bud-wah has always been the top of the heap for me. It works great in both clean and high gain modes. I love the sweep range on the pedal-simply put, it is just enough for a great range of expression. When playing clean, it has the perfect amount of quack to it. One will have no problem getting funky if that is the tone desired. In high gain territory, the sound of the pedal stays very smooth and pleasant. This was a big deal for me, as many wah pedals seem to get harsh and piercing in the upper range of the sweep. Though pleasant, when you need it to scream, it is there. I also like how the pedal actually responds when playing in the upper register. Many other wah pedals seem to do little to nothing when on the upper frets of the E and B strings.

OVERALL OPINION

This is easily my favorite wah pedal. Whether you are a clean player or shredder, this is a great wah to try. It’s really quite fascinating how a wah with no tonal tweaking features (like found on the Dunlop 535q) can offer such a great range of sounds, but I guess Buddah just got it right. Big kudos from me!
