With photos throughout, The Visual Drumset Method is designed for beginners who may be intimidated by the idea of learning to read music. The concept behind this publication is to use pictures instead of standard music notation to illustrate how to play basic drum beats – sort of an easy-to-follow drum tablature. Players can practice along with the individual drum beats on the CD, then progress to the song tracks later on the disc.
Hand grip, hand and foot positioning, and technique instructions are also discussed. A teacher’s chart illustrating traditional notation is included, and can be used to transition a student for further learning. Budding drummers don’t even need a drumset; the book includes graphic cutouts of a hi-hat, snare and bass drum that can be placed on a table and the floor for practice.
Pricing
The Visual Drumset Method (HL06620152) is priced at $9.99.
