- How long have you use it?
2 years and a few ...
- What is so special that you like most and least?
very compact, very soft but detailed and living
- Have you tried many other models before buying it?
Oops, I change every 2-3 years (30 years)!
- How would you rate the quality / price?
Way, the housing PSW 2500 is expensive (but powerful)
- With experience, you do again this choice? ...
Yes
This is a set of two and a subwoofer PSW2500 Q1. The room is small and I can incorporate standing speakers. These small Kef shelf are placed at ear height, of course, we must ensure that they do not touch the walls. The vent is placed in front, which is convenient for inclusion in a crowded place. The box is quite large but it's oval shape is more practical to house a cube (less long, it passes under a coffee table).
At first, connected to an Onkyo CRL 5, the system gave me satisfaction but I thought the quality of the whole called Kef better. I moved to a beautiful set Harman Kardon, and there's the fly ... spacialisation very good and lively without being overwhelming response, the muscle effort. I like the balance of this set which gives the nerve and life, without exaggerating nuances.
on the other hand, just to get my box, I just plugged both Q1, and there's a lack of scale with low paper mache. Box required to have a good listening. Today, with the budget and instead allocated to me to listen, I do not know another formula with such a quality of reproduction. it's a budget of 600 300. I believe the original Q1 is changed now.
Wiring, put a quality cable between the amplifier and speakers, this cable will pass through the double terminal block (remove the plates that make the original contact between the HF and LF terminals and get the cable in place (to Unless you have to have bi wiring from the start obviously, but given the level of equipment is still rare). Put an RCA cable double shielded well from the amp and subwoofer.
